This table was acquired from a church in Detroit. Its exact age and origin are unknown, but this style of oak parlor table was popular in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century.
The quarter sawn oak top was stripped, sanded, and refinished with Fusion Stain & Finishing Oil in Natural to accentuate its natural golden tone. The rest of the table was treated to a cheerful, grassy green that adds a pop of color while remaining subtle enough to work as a fresh neutral. The paint was lightly distressed for added dimension, then sealed with clear furniture wax for a buttery soft finish. [Artisan: ABP]
