This set belonged to the seller's grandparents, a Detroit-area couple, who were the original owners. These were cherished, much-loved tables, and it shows!
The tables were in good shape, so simply were treated to a paint job in a soft and ethereal warm, taupey-brown: Wise Owl One Hour Enamel in Leatherwood. This paint is like a shellac manicure for furniture -- durable and long-lasting. The original brass hardware was cleaned and refreshed with Rub-n-Buff gilding wax for a burnished sheen.
